The checklist “Documents Required at Interview” will be sent to you as part of your invitation to attend an interview and this will provide you with information as to what documentation you can provide to support this process.
You will be notified by the Appointing Manager as to whether you have been successful in obtaining the position. If you are successful the Recruitment Team will be in touch to provide you with an offer letter for the post and to begin processing your pre-employment checks.
The Recruitment Team will need to see evidence of your right to work in the UK. A list of acceptable ID documentation will be sent to you with your offer letter. In addition, references will be requested for a minimum of three years from your current and previous employer / s therefore it is essential that you have stated your full employment history on your application form.
Depending on the role, your job offer may be subject to a satisfactory disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly the Criminal Records Bureau). The Recruitment Team will contact every candidate who requires a DBS, with instructions on how to obtain a DBS certificate. All DBS applications are now done via an electronic system and there is fee payable by the candidate of £44. Please be aware that all information submitted will be treated with strict confidentiality.
In addition, if your role requires a professional registration, the Recruitment Team will undertake a check with the relevant regulatory body.
All candidates will be requested to complete an Occupational Health questionnaire which will be sent to the Occupational Health department to assess. This is to ensure that the environment is safe for staff to work in and also for patient safety.
All information is treated with strict confidentiality and the all checks take into consideration the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (DDA). Reasonable adjustments will be made to ensure that staff are able to work irrespective of any physical impairments or learning disabilities.
Once all your checks are completed, you will be issued with a start date. All staff are required to attend a Corporate Induction.
